The framing is finally complete, at least the bulk of it. There are still a few doors and windows to install, but the bones of the house are in, and just in time for the snow!  Inside, a lot more electrical roughing in has been done, most of the outlets and switches look to have been run, and boxes for lighting fixtures have been installed in the playroom.

We ended up killing off the ceiling fan in the playroom as a center mounted fan at the peak of a vaulted ceiling would have looked awkward.  We eliminated the fans in the kids bedrooms as well, after remembering that the ceilings upstairs are 8 feet, not 10 like the first floor.  We debated doing an attic fan to help with cooling but were intimidated by the potential noise.  In the end we decided we are going to do a swamp cooler upstairs, but there is no cost benefit to doing it now, so we will wait until the summer when we need it, and save our pennies for other things that are more pressing.
